Gal Gadot’s Malibu home is the hottest local listing

It’s a wonder that this Malibu residence is still standing.

So many people lost their dream homes there in last year’s wildfires that this oceanfront penthouse asking $8.75 million — owned by “Wonder Woman” star Gal Gadot and her husband, real estate developer Yaron Varsano — is getting plenty of interest, sources told Gimme Shelter.

It’s also in a prime location, between Nobu and Malibu Pier on Carbon Beach, as Gimme Shelter previously reported.

“A lot of locals who are looking to replace the homes they lost have been coming to see it,” a source familiar with the property told Gimme.

“There isn’t a lot of inventory here now, and this is a rare opportunity for someone who wants to be in the area,” the source added.

Nearly 600 homes were lost in Malibu during the wildfires, and only 17 building permits had been issued as of last November, according to Realtor.com. It’s a slow and painful process for Malibu’s population of just under 11,000 people.

The three-bedroom, three-bath residence is 1,956 square feet.

The listing photographs reveal a well-designed space that works for a family. Gadot and Varsano have four daughters together: Alma, 14; May, 8; Daniella, 4; and Ori,1. They also own a five-bedroom property in Beverly Hills.

The photos show maximum use of the setting — including a clear balcony to take in the ocean views.

The residence is also designed in neutral tones and plenty of glass to showcase the oceanfront view. There are also plenty of skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows to let in the light. A sunken living room adds a little drama and depth to the space, and also features a fireplace.

There’s also 80 feet of frontage on Carbon Beach, with direct beach access, gated guest parking and a two-car garage.

The chef’s kitchen is small, but it has everything a chef would need — and includes custom cabinetry and a breakfast bar. There’s also a formal dining area, as well as a main bedroom with a walk-in closet and an ensuite spa-like bath.

Gadot and Varsano bought the penthouse from Thai philanthropist and former Miss Universe, Bui Simon, who paid $850,000 for the property in 1994 — before her 2022 marriage to billionaire real estate developer and Indiana Pacers basketball team owner Herbert Simon.

The listing broker is Benjamin Illulian, of Illulian Realty.
