A top AEW star was released from the Jacksonville-based promotion after announcing his signing a few days ago. Several talents left TNA in the past few weeks ahead of the promotion’s debut on the AMC network. And just a few days back, Tony Khan announced the signing of all four members of The Rascalz.
Fans were excited to see Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed, Zachary Wentz, and Trey Miguel perform in the Jacksonville-based promotion. Tony Khan didn’t take long to book them. On the latest episode of Collision, Dezmond, Myron, and Zachary made their first appearances on AEW TV, where they cut a backstage promo. However, many questioned Trey’s absence as he, too, was supposed to be All Elite.
According to Fightful, Trey Miguel was shockingly released days after signing his AEW contract. However, his release was claimed to be ‘amicable.’
Matt Hardy compares the Hardy Boyz to AEW’s Rascalz
Fans have been excited to see Dezmond Xavier, Myron Reed, and Zachary Wentz wrestle in All Elite Wrestling since they signed. The faction put on great matches in TNA. Xavier wrestled in WWE as Wes Lee not long ago and is one of the top highlights of the show he is in.
While speaking in an interview with Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Matt Hardy praised The Rascalz and described the faction as handsome, fearless, and extreme. The veteran also called them the ‘modern-day Hardy Boyz.’
“Just last week on Impact we [Matt and Jeff Hardy] acknowledged that those guys remind us a lot of younger us in many many ways. They are young, they are talented, they are handsome, good looking guys. You know they are fearless, they’re extreme. So they really are in many ways a modern day version of the original Hardy Boyz,” Matt Hardy said.
It remains to be if fans will see Trey Miguel in the Jacksonville-based promotion anytime in the near or distant future, after he was reportedly released from his newly signed contract.
