Twitch streamer Kingsman was recently removed from a $40,000 Marvel Rivals tournament after reportedly asking for a change in team composition. The drama transpired during a NetEase-sponsored event titled “The Deadpool Creator Cup” hosted by a fellow platform member, BasimZB, on January 18, 2026. In total, 48 streamers were clubbed into teams of six, battling it out for the grand prize.
Kingsman265’s team was led by a Twitch streamer, Cece, who took point as the team’s Doctor Strange. Tension rose as Kingsman questioned his fellow team member, “Zazzastack,” and their role as Black Widow. At one point, the streamer expressed his frustration about how he’s taking on the entire team by himself:
“(‘Deadass, Kingsman, shut the f**k up,’ said Cece)… I’m getting mad because I’m 1v6’ing! (‘Yeah, Zazza’s 0-5, but we won the point, bro’).”
The streamer continued to vent, claiming that a tournament win would help him through college:
“Guys, listen, you may not want the money, but I do. Okay? I really want to win. I need money for college. I need money for everything…”

After the preliminary games, Kingsman received a message from Basim, who seemingly removed him from the tournament:
“Okay, guys, well, I was just kicked out of the tournament. Well, uh, unfortunate. Yep, I know. I’ve been messaging Basim for the past 20 minutes, and there’s nothing to do. I just got to get removed, I guess. Wow. What a joke, bro. I mean, like, that’s just insane.”
He went on to mention how unfortunate the situation was, considering he did not insult his fellow teammates, but “simply just suggested the proper team composition”:
“I didn’t insult anybody. All I did was simply suggest the proper team composition, tell them what to do, and how we’re going to win. The case is the difference between somebody who really wants it and somebody who just doesn’t care.”
Overall, the team players reconciled, and Kingsman265 encouraged his followers not to criticize any of the parties involved.
Cece responds to Kingsman being removed from The Deadpool Creator Cup Marvel Rivals tournament
Later, on January 20, Cece took to X and spoke about the incident, apologizing for how she handled the team conflict:
“As a team captain I have a responsibility to make accommodations for ALL my teammates. While advocating for my widow otp, I also need to better respect Kingsmans wishes.”
She also apologized for her comments toward Kingsman:
“I also apologize for calling Kingsman a loser. And I should not have read that chat in the first place. It was very disrespectful as Kingsman was just trying to win. And as a leader I needed to lead without emotions and a clear view. I said good vibes are important but failed to create that properly.”
