As the Luna V update of Genshin Impact approaches, HoYoverse has released a new story trailer that finally revealed Barbeloth, Witch “B”, and one of the members of the Hexenzirkel. She has been one of the prominent characters whose voice appeared and was mentioned in multiple story quests, and the latest trailer officially unveils her.
The trailer features her alongside Alice, Nicole, and Varka in Genshin Impact, going over the Grandmaster’s journey on how he became acquainted with the Hexenzirkel.
Genshin Impact’s “Another Prologue” trailer reveals Barbeloth, aka Witch “B”
Luna V is set to release on February 25, 2026, and the Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius is set to make his grand entrance to the playable roster. HoYoverse has released a new trailer featuring him. The trailer showcases the Hexenzirkel members, Alice and Nicole, in Genshin Impact, alongside Mona’s master, the witch Barbeloth.
Despite being one of the most important members of the Hexenzirkel and one of the key figures in the world of Teyvat, she chose only to appear in her “Dodoco” form till now. But the Another Prologue finally unveils the Trismegistus, as the witch tests out the will of Varka.
Unlike Nicole and Alice, and even Rhinesdottir, Barbeloth looks aged and dons an outfit quite similar to that of her apprentice, Mona Megistus. The trailer briefly touches on how the Hexenzirkel came to help Varka, the Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius, and the appreciation they have for him.
Barbeloth previously appeared in several quests, including the latest Nod-Krai story, where she took part in the Hexenzirkel Stall and read out divination cards for Columbina in Genshin Impact during the Luna III storyline.
She also helped Alice in conducting a trial that tested both Albedo and the Traveler, as the Hexenzirkel pair took on the appearance of two chess pieces (the King and the Queen) to fight the Chief Alchemist and the protagonist.
It is unknown if Barbeloth will be playable in the future of the game. But given the leaks suggest that Nicole, one of the Hexenzirkel witches, will join the playable character roster soon, there is a chance that Witch “B” may also do so.
