Mike Bailey recently came out praising a popular AEW star, reminiscing about the work they did together outside of Tony Khan’s promotion.
In 2025, one “Speedball” Mike Bailey arrived in the Jacksonville-based promotion. The 35-year-old wasted no time making an impact, establishing himself as a reliable talent capable of carrying both the singles and tag team scenes. This year, Bailey captured his first title in the promotion, winning the AEW Trios Title alongside Kevin Knight and Hangman Adam Page (collectively known as JetSet Rodeo). Outside of wrestling, Bailey consistently uploads a weekly vlog series on his YouTube channel. In his latest upload, the 35-year-old expressed his desire to work more with popular star Sammy Guevara.
For those unaware, Guevara and Bailey worked together in DDT Pro-Wrestling in the late 2010s. Remembering their fun matches from their time in the indie promotion, “Speedball” paid tribute to the Spanish God, expressing a desire to work with him more in the Jacksonville-based promotion.
“I wish I got to work with Sammy Guevara a lot more in (All Elite Wrestling). He and I had some really fun matches in DDT and I’d love to do that again,” Bailey said [H/T: Fightful]

Sammy Guevara is set for a major appearance outside of AEW
In recent times, Sammy Guevara has been absent from AEW programming, but fans have been able to catch him on ROH programming more often, which isn’t surprising given that he’s the reigning ROH World Tag Team champion alongside The Beast Mortos.
Although his next appearance on All Elite Wrestling TV remains a mystery, the Spanish God has been officially announced for a major appearance at a House of Glory event called SUPECLASH. The event, set for March 21, will see the former TNT champion lock horns with Amazing Red in a highly anticipated singles bout.
