Paula Badosa recently shared several glimpses of her behind-the-scenes life, which included her enjoying a relaxing time by the sea sporting a bikini, some gym selfies as well as a few off-court moments from tournaments she has participated in this year. Badosa most recently featured at the WTA 1000 event of the 2026 Dubai Tennis Championships, which ended in injury heartbreak for the Spanish former World No. 2.
On Friday, February 27, Badosa took to her Instagram and shared a photodump consisting of 20 pictures. The 28-year-old, through the post’s written caption, laid bare how she had been feeling ‘disconnected’ for a while.
Thanks for the submission!
“Been disconnected… A few unposted ones from life lately,” Badosa captioned the post.

Injuries have marred Badosa’s tennis-playing career in recent years, and unfortunately for the Spaniard, the trend seems to be continuing in the ongoing 2026 tennis season as well. While she remained injury-free spanning her disappointing campaigns in Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne and Abu Dhabi, she subsequently withdrew from Doha almost at the last minute.
Next, she retired mid-match with a right thigh injury during her second-round outing in Dubai against eventual runner-up Elina Svitolina. Later, a fan criticized the Spaniard over her latest injury, accusing her of being disrespectful to tennis. However, Badosa sent a strongly-worded reply to the fan.
“Change channel next time” – Paula Badosa hits back at fan after ‘disrespectful’ accusation

In the aftermath of her unfortunate mid-match retirement in Dubai this year, Paula Badosa was targeted by a fan on X (formerly Twitter), who wrote:
“Paula Badosa is so disrespectful to the game, you just cannot retire/withdraw from every tournament”
The Spaniard, currently ranked No. 85 in the world, took notice of the fan’s post and subsequently hit back by bringing up her chronic injury problems. She also asked the fan to steer clear of following her going forward.
“You have no idea what it’s like to live with a chronic injury and still choose to keep going. To wake up everyday not knowing how your body will respond, searching for solutions, and fighting for something you love and give everything even when it’s so difficult,” Badosa’s reply began.
“If you don’t like it, you don’t have to follow me. And I’m so sorry to inform you I won’t retire so you’ll keep seeing me for a while. Change channel next time,” she concluded.
Badosa also withdrew from the WTA 500 Merida Open, but could feature at the upcoming WTA 1000 event in Indian Wells.
