Rhea Ripley confirms heartbreaking split from partner; details “very dark situation”

Rhea Ripley has had a tough weekend. After losing her Women’s Tag Team Championships on SmackDown last week, she was able to win the Elimination Chamber and confirm her plans for WrestleMania.

Sadly, Rhea’s win on Saturday night meant that she has now been forced to leave Iyo Sky behind, and last night on WWE RAW, she announced her split from her longtime friend.

Rhea thanked Iyo for the past few months and revealed that she had pulled her out of a dark situation.

“Thank you, Iyo, thank you for always supporting me and standing by me, and most of all, thank you for pulling me out of a very, very dark situation.”

She went on to tell Iyo to hold down RAW while she headed over to SmackDown ahead of WrestleMania, with the heartbreaking reality that she won’t be coming back to RAW if she is able to win the title from Jade Cargill.

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky helped each other through tough times

Iyo was there for Rhea Ripley throughout her issues last year, and it seems that the dark situation that she was in before Iyo Sky was her issues with Liv Morgan.

But much like Rhea, Iyo was also in a tough position before she aligned with Mami, since her friendship cost her Asuka and Kairi Sane, who she believed were her family for years.

The two women have since become an exciting partnership on RAW and worked across SmackDown, but without the titles, Iyo has to remain on RAW, and it’s unclear what that now means for her.

Both women were clearly emotional as part of their segment, but Ripley was able to focus and went on to send a message to Jade Cargill, after the two women had already exchanged words on social media.
