GTA Online FIB HQ hardware locations guide

In GTA Online, the ULP mission, Intelligence, tasks players with finding four pieces of FIB hardware. While the task itself is simple, finding the hardware within a search area can take new players far longer than they expect. Finishing the Intelligence mission is necessary to move on to Operation Paper Trail, which is one of the most exciting and rewarding ULP missions.

Therefore, to help newer players, this article will go over all the potential FIB hardware locations, which you can check to finish Intelligence faster.

During the Intelligence ULP mission in GTA Online, you must collect two pieces of hardware directly from the FIB HQ. You can simply take an aggressive method; however, this would alert the police and cause a lot of trouble for you. Instead, go ahead to the construction site in Alta and wear the maintenance outfit.

The hardware can be found in the central room after using the elevator. Here are four potential spawn locations you can check right after exiting the elevator:

  • Location 1: After exiting the elevator, take a left and go all the way to the furthest office. Here, there should be an empty box behind the desk. Check it for a tablet.
  • Location 2: Find the server room by going to the back right side of the elevator. Locate the desk in the back of the room, on top of which you may find the hardware.
  • Location 3: Exit the elevator and enter the very first office room on the left past the waiting room. If the item has spawned here, you should find it on the floor.
  • Location 4: After exiting the elevator, take a right and get to the open office plan zone. There should be a bunch of FIB Agents here, sneak past or kill them if needed, and enter the conference room near the server room. At the end of the table here, there should be an open briefcase that holds the hardware in GTA Online.

After collecting the hardware from the FIB HQ in GTA Online, you’ll have to collect the remaining pieces from the FIB Depot. Yet again, there are a few common spawn points you can quickly explore to finish the mission faster.

Here are some locations to explore:

  • Location 1: Go to the back of the depot on the left side and past the van, where you will see three metal shelves. The hardware should be on one of these shelves.
  • Location 2: Near the FIB Depot exit, you should be able to find a desk with three monitors on it. Your hardware is under this desk.
  • Location 3: Opposite the hardware on the shelves, there’s a desk with three monitors; the hardware may be on top of this desk.

Remember, the Intelligence mission in GTA Online is all about stealth and efficiency. Before entering the depot, you should go around it and locate the fuse boxes to sabotage them. This will ensure that no police catch up with you during the mission. Once this is done, go ahead and enter the depot to finish this ULP mission.
